Synopsis (ENG): « In 1811, Mary Anning, a curious and strong-willed 12-year-old girl, spends her days exploring the seaside in search of fossils—those strange stones from another time. Her father passed this passion on to her. But everything changes when he disappears, leaving behind a mysterious drawing… and a family in dire straits. Determined to help her mother and brother overcome this ordeal, Mary also sets out to uncover the secret of the drawing. Along the way, she discovers much more than fossils: unexpected friendships, unforgettable adventures, and the first chapters in the history of paleontology. With courage and determination, Mary will change her life… and perhaps even the world of science! »
Synopsis (FRA): « En 1811, Mary Anning, une jeune fille de 12 ans curieuse et au fort caractère, passe ses journées à explorer le bord de mer à la recherche de fossiles – ces drôles de pierres venues d’un autre temps. C’est son père qui lui a transmis cette passion. Mais tout bascule lorsqu’il disparaît, laissant derrière lui un mystérieux dessin… et une famille en grande difficulté. Déterminée à aider sa mère et son frère à surmonter cette épreuve, Mary va aussi se tenter de percer le secret du dessin. En chemin, elle découvrira bien plus que des fossiles : des amitiés inattendues, des aventures inoubliables et les premiers chapitres de l’histoire de la paléontologie. Avec courage et détermination, Mary va changer sa vie… et peut-être même le monde de la science ! »

È stato suo padre a trasmetterle questa passione. Ma tutto cambia quando lui scompare, lasciando dietro di sé un disegno misterioso… e una famiglia in grande difficoltà. Determinata ad aiutare la madre e il fratello a superare questa dura prova, Mary cercherà anche di scoprire il segreto del disegno. Lungo il cammino, scoprirà molto più dei fossili: amicizie inaspettate, avventure indimenticabili e i primi capitoli della storia della paleontologia.
